Investigation into the Capitol riot continues, and new information has come to light. This one places one of Trump’s people among the throngs of wrongdoers who stormed the Capitol building on that fateful day.

A full-time employee of the Trump administration appears to have been involved in the January 6 insurrection. It happened in the past, but the tremors can still be felt through the nation’s democratic roots.

According to reports, Oliver Krvaric was working as a “confidential assistant” for the Office of Personnel Management at the time. Photos and videos saw him crossing the threshold of the west door of the upper west terrace of the U.S. Capitol just ahead of far-right influencer “Baked Alaska.”

“I was not in the Capitol,” Krvaric said, contradicting the evidence. He also said he did not enter any offices, wander the halls, or be on the premises.

A reporter asked if that meant he did not cross the threshold of the building. An action that was enough to get some participants to face charges.

In response, Krvaric asked what that meant. Then, he stopped responding to texts after receiving a surveillance video that saw him inside the building.

Krvaric acknowledges that he was on the streets that day in Washington. He said that he attended Donald Trump’s speech at the Ellipse.

Moreover, photos show him wearing a blue coat, a blue cap, and hard-to-miss pink Adidas shoes. He held a Trump flag and an “America First” flag linked to the far-right “Groyper” movement.

POLL — Should Donald J. Trump Be Allowed to Run for Office?

A spokesman for the Office of Personnel Management has confirmed that Krvaric, who led the College Republicans while at San Diego State University, was an employee of the department from November 2020 to January 2021.

His appointment was on Trump’s executive order seeking to rid federal agencies of diversity and inclusion training.

Online detectives have also discovered that Krvaric, the son of California GOP power broker Tony Krvaric, owns a profile he created in 2016 on a neo-Nazi website, where he seemingly praised Adolf Hitler, supported deportation of non-white people, and made anti-LGBTQ posts.

He does not recall those statements. However, he does not deny making them.

“I don’t know if that’s long in the past, or — I wouldn’t recognize anything,” Krvaricsays. “I just don’t have a recollection.”

How this will affect his professional future is unknown. But if he faces charges, he will likely face jail time like the other rioters from that day.
