According to a recent news release, Tamarack Resort is moving forward with its waterfront expansion on Lake Cascade as part of ongoing enhancements to its mountain, meadow and lake offerings.

The resort signed a 20-year lease with the Idaho Parks and Recreation Department, which manages facilities and access on Lake Cascade for the United States Bureau of Reclamation.

With the long-term lease now in place, construction of The Marina at Tamarack Resort may begin once the Bureau of Reclamation has completed its environmental analysis, expected in early 2024.

"We appreciate the hard work and thoughtful process of the Bureau of Reclamation and the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation to help us bring enhanced facilities and recreation offerings to Lake Cascade," said Tamarack President Scott Turlington. "As America's only ski, golf and lake resort, Tamarack is proud to be developing this world-class marina for boaters and water sports enthusiasts."

The Marina at Tamarack Resort will have 200 boat slips, including dedicated slips for personal watercraft, on-water fuel, boat mooring facilities, a rental and retail facility, expanded marina parking, a sand sports and beach area, grab-and-go food and drinks from Tamarack's Mountain Bites food truck and an enhanced rental fleet of motorized and non-motorized watercraft.

Construction can begin as soon as the Bureau of Reclamation completes its environmental analysis. The resort plans on opening by Memorial Day with about 70 initial boat slips, on-water fuel, a rental and retail facility, enhanced beachfront access, food and drink offerings, additional parking and a dedicated sand sports area.

The Marina at Tamarack Resort is a public marina with seasonal slip rentals available from Memorial Day through Oct. 1 of each year.
