Skip Bayless predicted the Boston Celtics would win their first championship since 2008. He made this known on his show “Undisputed,” where he said that it feels like everything is meant to be. The Boston Celtics have seen their path to the NBA Finals made easy by injuries to key players on the opposing side playing a major role.

Bayless also praised the Celtics’ recent dominant performance, as he called it a “tour de force.” However, he noted they’ve struggled in Game 2s but this time, star guard Jaylen Brown stepped up, where he refused to let the team falter as was evidenced by his game-high 40 points.

#6 PACERS at #1 CELTICS | FULL GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS | May 23, 2024
I’m here to tell you it feels meant to be. Everything has lined up. Your planets are aligned for you to all but cakewalk to the championship since you guys won it in 2008. It was a tour de force last night but the point is you have struggled in game twos and Jaylen Brown was the guy who said no… because of all your players nobody can attack the basket better than he can.
Skip Bayless said on Fox’s Undisputed

Brown’s ability to attack the basket is unmatched, according to Skip Bayless. The veteran Fox analyst said that nobody can attack the basket better the way he can and when Brown puts his mind to it, he becomes nearly unstoppable.

The Celtics have shown brilliance this season, and with players like Brown leading the charge, they may just bring home their first championship in 16 years. Furthermore, they are two games away from making the NBA Finals and would face either of the Dallas Mavericks or the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Skip Bayless on how he feels about his mother

Skip Bayless recently opened up about his difficult relationship with his mother on his podcast. He shared that he doesn’t miss her, as she never showed him love or affection, however, he credited her for the influence on his career and personality.

I mean, how do you miss someone who never loved you, never told you or showed you one time as you were growing up, that she cared at all about you? But now, please understand, I dearly loved who my mother was. I was in awe of my mother. My mother was something. The biggest personality I have ever known was my mother’s. Nobody I’ve ever known could take over a room like my mother could.
Skip Bayless said on his podcast

Bayless’ mother, Levita Anderson, was a strong personality who owned a successful barbecue restaurant in Oklahoma City. However, her children, including Skip and his brother Rick, have spoken publicly about the challenges of growing up with alcoholic parents and a difficult home life. Despite this, the Bayless children have gone on to achieve significant success in their respective fields.

Bayless’ vulnerability and openness about his complicated feelings towards his mother are a rare departure from his usual on-air persona. His willingness to share his struggles and contradictions has shown his human side and provided a deeper understanding of his experiences and emotions.
