Similar to the Broncos, the Colts have also suffered early season struggles on the field, and now heading into Empower Field at Mile High against a stout defensive unit in the Broncos, Matt Ryan and co will have their hands full tomorrow tonight with lots of consistent play being expected from the passing game with Taylor out for this one.

Stepping in his place will be long-time Colts running back Nyheim Hines. Historically speaking, Frank Reich and the Colts coaching staff have primarily used Hines in more of a pass-catching role than just an every-down runner due to them having arguably the best tailback in the league in Jonathan Taylor. Hines will have some big shoes to fill, but he has shown many flashes in his career due mainly to his speed and elusiveness.

Update: Nyheim Hines is fast ✌️

Although the Broncos defense is pretty great, they did get run over in their week four matchup against the Raiders; Raiders running back Josh Jacobs ran for 144 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries along with five receptions for 31 yards against the Broncos.

Therefore, Hines and the Colts will be looking to see what exactly happened to the Denver run defense in their last game so they can also exploit whatever the problem is.

With that said, much will be expected of newly acquired Matt Ryan and young wideout Michael Pittman Jr. as the Colts need their leaders and most talented players to step up in place of their superstar running back.
