Baldur’s Gate 3 is a massive RPG based on the Dungeon and Dragon fifth edition rule. It has turned-based combat, and just like the classic DnD fashion, dice rolls. The gameplay is pretty fun, and the devs make some adjustments to the tabletop rules to better fit in with the game. But the story is the main focus of the game.

Multiclass is a DnD concept adopted in Baldur’s Gate 3. By using multiclass, you can benefit from two different classes instead of one. Multiclass comes with its own drawbacks. Each of the class levels separately from one another. So you will have to divide your levels between the two classes.

Multiclass is mainly if you want to have a versatile build in the game. You are essentially sacrificing single-class proficiency to become more versatile in the game. That being said, if you want to multiclass in Baldur’s Gate 3, here is how to do it.

Multiclassing in Baldur’s Gate 3

Multiclassing is an excellent way to experience different classes in the game. Hybrid builds let you explore, mix and match abilities to create your own custom character. In Baldur’s Gate 3, you can multiclass very easily. It unlocks when you reach level 2 in the game.

When you reach level 2, the level-up window will have an add class option on the top right corner of the screen. Press that and select the 2nd class you want to use. And that’s all you need to do to activate the multiclassing. Now, since each class levels separately, you will need to choose which class you want to invest in every time you level up in the game.
