Disney’s Fairy Godmothers in-training help those dreams come true every day at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in the Magic Kingdom. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity for your child to become a part of Disney’s fairytale world. Here’s what you need to know.
1. What Is It?
The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a complete makeover experience for children age 3-12. Girls will have their hair, nails, and make-up done, be given a variety of accessories, and a Disney princess costume, while boys will be changed into a knight.
Girls can choose from one of three hairstyles, before selecting their makeover package. Prices for the packages range from $64.95 for the Crown Package (the most basic available) to $450.00 for the Princess Signature Dress Collection (the boutique’s most in-depth option). According to the official Disney web page, available princess costumes may include: Anna, Elsa, Ariel, Snow White, Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, Cinderella, Tinker Bell, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Merida. The basic Knight Package (which includes hair gel, a sword and shield, and confetti) begins at $19.95, with the Deluxe Knight Package (which includes everything from the knight package and a prince costume) running $79.95.
2. Where Is It Located?
Transforming into a princess or knight takes a special kind of magic, and what could be more magical than having the transformation take place in a castle? The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is located in Cinderella’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom across from Cinderella’s Royal Table. There is also a location behind Once Upon A Toy in Disney Springs.
3. Make Reservations Early
While Disney magic is unlimited, space is not. Guests can make reservations for the boutique 180 days before their visit. While not required, a reservation is strongly encouraged.
You’ll need a valid credit card number to book your appointment. If your plans change, make sure to cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled visit, or there is a $10 cancellation fee.
4. How Long Does it Take?
While Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother can create a transformation with a simple wave of her wand, the Fairy Godmothers in-training require a bit more time. You can expect the process to take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.
5. Photo Packages Are Available
You’ll probably want some photos to remember the experience. After all, how often does your child get to transform into the star of a fairytale? Fortunately, your session at Bibbi Bobbi Boutique will include some PhotoPass opportunities. If you have the Memory Maker package, these photos will be included. If not, you can add a photo package to your child’s makeover for $32.95.
